Young Girl, Why Are You in Pain?
Little girl, precious soul
My heart won't let me ignore your pain. Why do you feel the need to abandon your innocent life just to be hurt? It started with the phone chats till 3 am in the morning. You let the night slip away as you tossed and turned around holding your iPhone. Eyes became sore and red but you stayed up all night as Tim, Tom were on your mind. Ah, the pain became unbearable, it made you fall asleep in class as you needed more rest. The rays of sunshine tormented you as they got through the blinds in Miss Flora English class room. She even shouted your name three times just to wake you up. Why do you hurt your self? Your body needed rest and time to recharge but you let the night slip away.
As if that wasn't enough, you went on to thread your eyebrows just to be Miss Popular. The other girls would laugh at you if your eyebrows weren't on fleek. So you took the pain again and bit your teeth just to get those eyebrows in shape with that lady twisting that horrible thread on your eyebrows. I wonder, if this pain was worth it. Then you went on to get the needle down your belly just to be like the popular girls in year 11 with a belly piercing. They said "Oh it was a precious thing to have at 16". Tears ran down your face as you couldn't hold the pain inside. It was unbearable. The guy used a big needle that almost scared you to death but you didn't want to be left out as your peers would at laugh you. Finally, after resting your back on that chair for an hour, you had your piercing. Oh not to forget, more than six weeks of healing and sleepless nights. You almost took the piercing out as the pain was excruciating.
Again, you wore those nine inches heels that hurt your knees. Remember the mischievous night out without telling mother; you were so drunk as you had gone to the club with your girlfriends out for a birthday with a fake id. You danced and felt like you were on cloud nine. It was surely a night to remember. Forgetting that you are in your heels, you took the wrong step up to the stage where that supposedly handsome dj blasting away his music and you fell down. It was such a painful fall that they had to call the ambulance just to get you to the nearby hospital. Why you were you letting your self be in that pain? On top of that, you had drunk so much that you had a horrible hangover. I almost thought you were going to lose your life.
Oh, you do everything just to be like the other girls in your year. You spend 2 hours getting ready putting that red lipstick, mascara and that whitish powder on your face that makes you look older. I thought you were 25. Not to mention, you gluing those crazy hair extensions and spraying that hair spray that smells like a truck exhaust pipe. I almost choked to death as you were trying to get your hair puffy.
My question is why you are trying so hard to be like those girls on TV?
Can't you see you are so young and beautiful?
Why do you use such harsh chemicals and make up on your flawless skin?
Why starve your self to be a size 6? All you eat, let me say drink is that disgusting green liquid that you spent a month taking and avoiding proper food that would nourish your soul.
Haven't I told you are beautiful just the way you are?
Your personality can draw the whole city. Born and wonderfully fearfully made, you don't need to keep up with the trendy girls.
Why do you put yourself in so much pain?
The pain isn't worthy it. Enjoy your teen years and understand something.
You are beautiful.
