Meet The Lego's Ordinary People In The Park
Lego City Fun in the Park - City People Pack 60134
Referred to as "The Best Lego Set ever" by fans and enthusiasts during its release last February in New York Toy Fair 2016, it is a must-have set for Lego collectors. The set made headlines over global major news websites that raised attention, not only from its fans, but also from the media as well, after seeing images of a boy in a wheelchair and a baby figure.
Nothing special about the box art of this set, just showing all the figures in a park, but when you see the boy in a wheelchair, the dog, and the baby in the stroller, you suddenly feel a little compassion and excitement to open the box and look for these figures.
The set consists of 157 pieces, 14 figures (7 male and 7 female), a baby and dog figures, and 3 instruction manuals in different languages for the build.
Lego City Figures
Now for the figures, first up would be the hotdog cart guy figure. Wearing a white printed chef uniform with red scarf, a white butcher hat and a very nice face print of a mustache. The hotdog cart comes with 2 pumps that assimilate ketchup and mustard, you can open up the cart and put the extra piece of hotdog inside. And, one of the reasons why people would get the set is the hotdog bun piece, which is a new piece from Lego.
Next is the grandma and grandpa figures, grandpa wears a brown knitted-sweater shirt. You know the basic grandpa look with eyeglasses, gray hair, gray eyebrows and mustache. Grandma wears a very nice light blue sweater print, big round eyeglasses and white wavy hair.
The business woman wears a dark blue corporate attire print, a nice face print wearing eyeglasses and a neat hair style. She has a brown briefcase for the business documents as she waits by the bus stop.
The painter figure is very unique, wearing a white shirt with printed denim jumper with paint stains. She comes with an alternate face expression and holds a black paint roller and a paint bucket as she paints the park fence.
The two little kids figures: the boy wears short tan pants with blue jacket print, the face is printed with freckles on both cheeks and a nice blonde messy hair style. The girl wears lavender pants, purple shirt with a white star print and light blue jacket, a blonde ponytail hair piece. Both have no alternate facial expressions.
Another great figure from this set is the kid playing soccer. He wears a red and white baseball shirt with the classic Lego spaceman print, blue pants and blue baseball cap. Very cool figure! The other kid is a female wearing pink and white striped shirt with a cat print design, blue pants, face with eyeglasses print and a nice hair style piece as well. The two are playing soccer or football.
The bicycle guy figure rides a basic standard red bicycle and the figure itself is pretty basic, sporting a bicycle jersey and white bike helmet. Though, still a cool figure and bike.
Now the highlight of this set is the boy in a wheelchair and dog figure. The dog looks like a German shepherd, which is by the way a very articulate piece. The boy in a wheelchair wears a nice gray hat or bonnet, a brown shirt with blue jacket and blue pants. The wheelchair can accommodate any figure, the wheels looks similar to the wheels from the bicycle but slightly bigger. With the handles at the back of the wheelchair, you can put any figure there that pushes the boy. An extremely unique piece!
The lady with the lawnmower wears a red shirt and green jumper, with a friendly face print and a slightly messy ponytail hair style piece. She comes with a red lawnmower and she takes care or the park.
And lastly, the mom, dad, and baby figures that comes with the picnic table and stroller. The dad figure wears a red flannel shirt print, bearded face print and a standard hair style piece. The mom figure is wearing a lavender jacket with necklace print, light blue pants and a nice smile face print with an alternate face with sunglasses print and brown wavy hair style piece. The baby figure is so cute, wearing a white one-sie. The baby is the only a 2-piece figure, the head has a cute baby face print, no hair yet. The body is one solid piece, you cannot swivel the arms. The hands has no holes so, it can't really hold anything. The baby fits perfectly in the black and gray stroller which looks so adorable!
This is a nice and cool Lego set. The diversity of the figures can create all kinds of combinations and different scenarios as well for more playability. Even if you're not a Lego City fan, this set is definitely worth getting.
